So clearly, if I wait until something seismic and interesting happens before I update, it will be a very long time between posts.
What’s new? Our rabbit! She’s called Flopsie (I had nothing to do with that, and am slightly embarrassed every time I have to tell people. However, usually people who have had rabbits then tell me what their ones were called; so far, Wiggles, Bugsy and Sprinkles (no, Im not sure about that one either) which makes me feel slightly better). She’s a nice wee thing, and fitting in pretty well – which means I have far fewer scratches on my arms than a week ago.
I went to Made in the Shade today, which was very jolly indeed – lots of lovely things on sale, some of which I bought:
some violet creams
lovely earrings from Stella my Star, but I couldn’t get a nice photo of them on my phone, sorry…
this gorgeous origami accordian book which I have plans to turn into a kind of journally/scrapbook/art-book with found stuff and pictures and things, but let’s see how I get on, maybe focusing on our summer holiday this year (Dumfries, Wickerman and N Ireland – take THAT volcanic ash!)
groovy tshirt for Mr Rhubarb from Electra French
I’m not usually out on the road at 10am on a Saturday, so it was fun to see who is – women, running, mostly. Seriously. Loads of ‘em. I wish I were the kind of person who runs, easily and happily, with long strides and a swingy ponytail of shiny hair. But I’m just not built that way. So hats off to the morning runners, all of you. To be fair, most of the morning runners were not of the easy gait-swingy hair type either, and seemed to be struggling through it dutifully, rather than expressing their life-force. Heyho.
Also, excited that we have been paired up in Vonnie’s Little and Large swap – with Kirsty (hello, Kirsty!). My big girl’s already wondering what she can make, so hopefully we’ll get cracking. It’s only my second swap, so I hope I get it right. There is a right, yes?
